The social network that celebrates Latin food
Makes 2 servings
1 green plantain, cut into rounds and fried
¼ teaspoon minced garlic
1 slice cooked bacon or a small piece of chicharrón (pork rinds or pork belly), finely chopped
¼ teaspoon salt or adobo seasoning
Using a mortar and pestle (or pilón, if you have one), mash several pieces of the fried plantain. Alternate the remaining ingredients with the plantain, and mash until thoroughly combined. Serve alongside your favorite meat or stuffed with seafood, chicken, etc.
