Barriguitas de Vieja ("Old Ladies' Bellies")

My mom used to make these dough puffs for me and they always made me feel better.

They are very simple to make and delicious after dusting with confectioner's sugar and cinnamon over them. Eat them right away with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee.

Ingredients:

1¾ cups of flour

2 cups of water

1 egg

1 teaspoon of salt

Oil for frying

Confectioner's sugar and cinnamon for dusting

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients to make batter.

2. Heat oil in frying pan. Use a measuring cup (1/4) and drop the batter.

3. Once golden on one side they will puff, flip to other side and repeat. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

4. Dust with sugar and cinnamon and serve immediately.

¡BUEN PROVECHO!

No no es necesario. Pense lo mismo pero cuando busque la receta de mama es como es. Ellas se inflan solas. El aceite tiene que estar bastante caliente. Prueba con una para estar segura. Tambien puedes usar vanilla sugar.
