A Perfect Dip for the NBA Finals or World Cup

Bacon and Cream Cheese Dip

With the World Cup now underway and the NBA Finals coming to a boil, the sports fans in your house might appreciate this dip courtesy of Puerto Rican chef Cielito Rosado. You can go the full-bore version or dial it down a couple notches with lighter mayo and cream cheese. Enjoy!

Yields 20 servings

Ingredients:
8 slices of bacon, fried and ground up
8 oz. cream cheese
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic, ground up
½ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
½ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Blend all the ingredients until a creamy consistency is reached. Serve with nachos or crackers.

Tip:

To cut the calories, you can use bacon bits instead of bacon, and mayonnaise and cream cheese that are reduced fat or fat free.

Try replacing some of the mayonnaise with fat free plain yogurt. Greek yogurt is even higher in protein, and gives a nice tang. This looks tasty!
