"All of your recipes look so good and I know they must taste fantastic..I am Filipino and my mom taught me how to cook traditional Filipino dishes..most of their cooking is Spanish,Chinese influences..My adoptive father is Mexican and his family has…"
"My mom always taught me after you measure out your rice, rinse it, put the tip of your thumb on top of the rice and measure the water up to the first line of your thumb..comes out perfect every time..all though we always use rice cookers .."
I was born in the Philippines but raised in Texas. My adoptive father is Mexican/Spanish he was born in Laredo Texas. My great grandparents on my mom's side were from Spain they later migrated to the Philippines. I am a home cook and being a chef was always my dream..Though I never pursued it I label myself as the home cook..Taught well by my mother and other family members. I am lucky that I come from an array of cultures. The best of both worlds..I love all kinds of food and I am always trying to come up with my own dishes..Fusing Filipino, Spanish and Mexican cooking makes me appreciate what my family has taught me through their cultures..
