Genious! Perfect for the upcoming holidays, I wish I had come up with this one. Although I would make homemade dulce de leche and not use purchased product. Check out the link, but not before covering your keyboard. Drool is not good for it.

North Pole Snowballs



It seems every country lays claim to some form of this cookie. Russian tea cakes, Mexican wedding cookies, Italian wedding cakes, so for this time of year, let's call these North Pole Snowballs, made with peppermint candy instead of nuts.



1/2 cup finely crushed peppermint candies, divided

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 cup unsalted butter

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 1/4 cups a.p. flour
