The social network that celebrates Latin food

This is the Cuban cocktail par excellence. It is traditionally made of five ingredients: rum, sugar (sugar cane juice), lime, carbonated water, and spearmint.
Ingredients:
3 teaspoons sugar
8 fresh yerba buena leaves (spearmint leaves)
1 sprig of spearmint
2 ounces good-quality white rum
2 ounces club soda
2 ounces fresh lime juice
Directions:
1. Place 12 mint leaves, sugar, and lime juice in a glass.
2. Gently crush the mint into the lime juice, and sugar with a pestle; you can also use the back of a spoon.
3. Add rum. Top off with club soda, stir well, and garnish with sprigs of mint, or a lime wheel.
