You might find that recipes vary a bit, but this is traditional. Check out this chimichurri video.
Chimichurri is a sauce and marinade that is easy to make and makes any grilled steak delicious to eat. Originally from Argentina, it is enjoyed as far north as Nicaragua.
Ingredients:
1 bunch flat-leaf parsley, minced
6 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
Salt to taste
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients, starting with the vinegar.
2. Whisk in the vinegar and olive oil until well combined. The mixture should be highly seasoned.
3. Cover and allow it to marinade in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
4. Place in a bowl for serving and pour over the meat as desired.
